Office Fit Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy applies specifically to the Office Fit Android app and explains what data the app handles and why it asks for the permissions it does. It is separate from the general roelofjanelsinga.com Privacy Policy, which covers this website and does not apply to the app — the app does not use cookies, advertising, or the analytics tools described there.

1. Data the app stores

Office Fit stores the following directly on your device, in a private database that only the app can access:

• The exercises you've configured
• Your weekly reminder schedule (work hours and interval)
• Your reminder history (which reminders were completed, skipped, or dismissed, and when)

This data never leaves your device. I don't collect it, see it, or store a copy of it anywhere. The app makes no network requests and includes no analytics, advertising, or crash-reporting services.

2. Permissions the app requests, and why

Android requires the app to declare each of these; here's what each one is actually used for:

• Notifications — to show the persistent status notification (next reminder time, snooze buttons) and the reminder notifications themselves.
• Foreground service / wake lock — to keep the reminder timer running reliably while the app is in the background, the same way a system tray app would on a desktop.
• Restart after reboot — if reminders were turned on before your device restarted, this lets the app resume them without you having to reopen it.
• Ignore battery optimizations (optional) — some phone manufacturers aggressively kill background services; this permission lets you exempt Office Fit so reminders keep firing on time. You can decline it and use the app without it.

None of these permissions are used to collect or transmit data — they exist solely to make reminders work in the background.

3. No sharing, no ads, no accounts

• I don't sell, share, or transmit your data to any third party, because it never leaves your device in the first place.
• There's no sign-up, login, or account of any kind.
• There are no ads and no analytics SDKs in this app.

4. Data retention and deletion

Your data stays on your device for as long as the app is installed. Uninstalling Office Fit permanently deletes all of it — there's no server-side copy to separately request deletion of, since none exists.

5. Children's privacy

Office Fit is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect information from anyone, regardless of age — it doesn't collect information from anyone at all.

6. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the update will be posted on this page with a revised date above.
